The Thingternet...

If you haven't noticed, we are living a very..fluid era. Things change and our lives change, but the biggest changes are yet to come.

Recently, Stuff  Magasine, an English gadget and tech magasine, has written an article about The Internet of Things, or the thingternet. It was telling about their ever-changing world and how things are becoming connected to the Internet and how its going to change our lives dramatically.

They introduces the online service known as IFTTT - If this then that. It connects things connected to the Internet or parts of the Internet to each other and runs simply on the rule: If this happens then that happens. For example if somebody sent you a Facebook message then it could send you a text message or automatically reply to that message - hence if this (the message) then that (the response). It can do endless things and aims to, in the future, connect thingternets to other thingternets...if that makes any sense :)

Other aspects of the thingternet...

Another article gave a synopsis of a-day-in-a-life in the thingternet. It showed how one day your calendar would talk to your alarm and on to your car and coffee machine, to warm up your car and make you a coffee. And that your alarm would talk to the weather and then tell your car to defrost the windows...and the day goes on, but it just showed how quickly things could and probably will change in our near future...
